It has now been nearly 10 months since my lap-band surgery and I am down 80 lbs. True, the surgery wasn't without it's complication - my band IMMEDIATELY slipped and I had to have a second surgery the second day. The second surgery wasn't too bad; but the NG tube they had to insert before the second surgery SUCKED!!!
I am down about 8p pounds and I have been stuck for nearly a month now. It is frustrating to say the least. I am trying to up my physical activity... Perhaps if I could give up my chocolate habit I may be able to lose a bit faster... but I can't live without chocolate. It's my go-to when one of the kids is driving me to the brink of insantiy.. I can't go running to the treadmill whenever they piss me off, so chocolate it is..

phew
I am currently 11 days away from my lap-band surgery - and I am looking forward the the assistance it will give me in reaching my weight loss goals. I am not sure how much weight loss the doc will think is good, but I am HOPING for 120 lbs.
All the appointments I have been to in readying myself have been ardous - I admit that. But again, they are a means to an end. I have been unsuccessful at losing more than 15 lbs on my own forever now. It is time for the professional help that I am seeking!!
The liquid diet that I am on is KILLING me - not that I am not adapting to it, but seeing other adults eat is the PITS!!! Really you can drink all the powerade, fruit20 or any other 0 calorie drink that you want, but if you want to crunch food, you want to crunch food!! I have found that chewing gum does help, it at least satisfys some of the chewing need.....
So, into the hospital on Wednesday morning for an endoscopy to check the route the dr. will have to take and then.....the following Tuesday SURGERY.....WOOT WOOT
